Building Safe Cyclone Infrastructure in Borroloola
The MRM Community Benefits Trust provided $1.5 million in seed funding for the Borroloola Sports Courts and Cyclone shelter project, and are pleased that with the support from the Northern Territory Government these facilities are being delivered.

The upgrade of the Rocky Creek Bridge was a joint initiative between all levels of Government and the private sector. The McArthur River Mine Community Benefits Trust (CBT) contributed $1.4 million, and were proud to attend the opening of the bridge in Borroloola.

Construction underway at Rocky Creek Bridge
The McArthur River Mine (MRM) Community Benefits Trust was pleased to support $1.4 million toward the the upgrades of the Rocky Creek Bridge. The project will raise the bridge to a height of 9.5 meters, ensuring reliable access to Borroloola.

Closing the Gap in Aboriginal Cancer in the NT Gulf Region
The MRM Community Benefits Trust has committed $300,000 to partner with Cancer Council NT to fund an Aboriginal Cancer Unit with three health staff workers in Borroloola, including two Aboriginal Cancer health workers and a Project Coordinator.

The MRM Community Benefits Trust was pleased to support over $659,000.00 in community grant applications at its February 2020 Board Meeting. Beyond its grants program, the MRM Community Benefits Trust is leading a range of other initiatives that will provide immediate and longer-term benefits to communities and businesses in the Borroloola region, Northern Territory.

Legacy Fund contributes to long-term future of the Gulf region
The MRM Community Benefits Trust has established a Legacy Fund to continue the long-term funding of community projects in the Gulf region after mining ends at MRM in 2036.
