2021-2022 Governance updates
Over the course of 2021-2022, the Board undertook a range of governance and legal updates. The CBT formally adopted an updated and amended Constitution in July 2022. The changes allow for greater local community representation and majority local Aboriginal decision making on Trust investments by doubling representation of the four language groups represented on the Board – Marra, Garrwa, Gudanji and Yanyuwa. These changes also created greater gender parity among the board, by having a male and female representative from each of the language groups.
