Books in Homes Project

The Books in Homes Project provides free books to children in regional and remote communities across northern Australia.

The philosophy behind the program is that children who read books from a young age and more likely to grow up with a love for reading and an aptitude for learning.

Under the program, students are able to choose nine books free of charge from a catalogue, which they receive at a special assembly at school.

Robinson River, Borroloola and Kiana schools are all involved with the program with the support of the MRM Community Benefits Trust.
